I provide one-on-one private consultations on your specific needs. These may be questions related to Montessori curriculum, your child's transition into a different class or school, communicating with your child's school or teachers, technology in the home, researching different public or private school options or finding appropriate after-school programs to enhance your current educational setting.
Parenting the Love and Logic Way
You'll leave with practical skills you can use right away. Please note that this is a supportive and confidential environment.
Montessori Consulting Services provides personalized consultation and parent education to caregivers for children of all ages. This is a child focus, developmentally appropriate approach to encourage independence, self-confidence and respect. The underlying philosophy is Montessori based, but it can be used in any home.
I've spent the last 20 years in the education field, 16 of those teaching in a Montessori setting. In addition to my consulting business, I am currently an Instructional Guide, Field Consultant and Practicum Guide in a Montessori teacher training program. I have two active, creative, and outgoing elementary aged children who've been in both American Montessori Society (AMS) and Association Montessori International (AMI) school and home environments since birth.
After working as a wildlife biologist, I taught English as a Second Language overseas and earned a Maryland State teaching certification in high school biology. I currently hold an AMS teaching credential for ages 6-12 years old, Washington State certification for middle school and high school biology, and a Masters of Education in Instructional Technology.
I'm thrilled to share my expertise, hands on experience and passion for the Montessori philosophy. Not only do I have experience teaching in the classroom and at home, but I'm compassionate to the realities of being a parent of young children. My goal is to share my knowledge and give you the tools to help you and your family.
